Forming Stampone & Associates in 2013 Karen Stampone established herself as the local go-to financial expert in her community of Jenkintown, PA. Providing account, financial, and tax services to small businesses as well as individuals looking for guidance and assistance. Not only did Karen graduate Cum laude from Temple University with a degree in Business Administration she went on to earn her CPA certification as well as becoming a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. That sounds like a full plate, quite the accomplishments, so what’s next?
Taking time to get married and raise three wonderful children it was time for a change, and she was ready to embrace this new chapter the best way she could. One source driving this change was her divorce. While more than a few people would see this as a setback Karen saw an opportunity and persevered, deciding that it was time to take the next step both personally and professionally. This is when she made the bold decision to not only rebrand her business but rebrand herself.
After years of being recognized as the face of Stampone and Associates Karen decided to rename her business and transition to Bogar and Associates, with Bogar stemming from her maiden name Karen decided to, “Just Do It.”. In some cases, this would be an overwhelming task, after years of her professional life directly intertwined with her name Karen made the bold choice to seize this opportunity as a new start in a way. “Over the last six years, it has been made abundantly clear to me that I am no longer a Stampone.” Upon this realization she took the steps to not only change her business name but to move forward with ANOTHER change in her life, one even more life-changing.
“I never liked ‘Karen,” she says, especially as the term “Karen” became a pejorative slang term under which the definition refers to a woman as being in other words, obnoxious. Well, this certainly did not fit the image she was looking to exude to clients, colleagues, and the world, nor is she in any way a “Karen.” It was decided that along with the change of her business name she would transform from Karen Stampone to Candice Bogar, to which people refer to her lovingly as Candy.
With over 30 years of accounting, tax experience, and life experience Candy shows no signs of slowing down while striving to grow as the economy recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. As a business owner, this has been especially trying times but once again Candy has come through the other side with a positive attitude and desire to face each situation head-on taking the opportunity to evolve.
The name may be different but the dedication to deliver stellar customer service and guidance is still the same.
